Always great to find small British Engineering companies undertaking real quality work at superb prices.

I used the above to purchase two full sets of stainless front pistons for Series 2 Girling 3pot calipers. The quality was excellent.

Cost Inc vat and delivery £66.20
Price from one of the usual's £176 Inc vat but exc delivery.

Classic Car Brakes do other brake refurb work and they told me they supply these pistons to the specialists (talk about profiteering). Their website is classiccar-brakes.co.uk

No doubt forum members have other similar examples of small manufacturing companies. Why not share the details?

I remember looking in the Martin Robey catalogue when I needed new pistons for the rear brakes on my s3. The price for the standard piston was £10 and the next line had the price for a stainless steel one - £10.50. It was a bit of a no brainer as to which ones I bought.
