Heard a lot about the spax adjustables, boge etc but all a bit prcey for me. Not heard of Woodheads until recently does anyone have any experience on these? Are they cheap and cheerful or a sound choice.
I have a series 2 which I am not looking to upgrade in any way

Suggest you avoid Spax adjustables (the screw adjusters break) and Koni's (have to take them off the car to adjust and anyway they do not suit the character of the E-Type). Go with standard Spax or Boge shocks both of which are readil;y available and relatively cheap.

I've been using Spax adjustables for a long time with no problems. I drive the car quite hard sometimes and I like them. The adjustment is very effective and quick too.
I got them to replace the Woodhead or Monroe shocks that I bought earlier and which I found to be way too soft and ineffective.
Whatever you buy, make sure that the fronts are no longer than stock. A too long front shock can allow the tie rod to neck, and yes, the suppliers will still sell them to you.
