Happy New Year to all.
I’m just changing my engine mounts during a bit of tidying up the engine bay,
On removing the near side mounting I can see some numbers handmarked in yellow crayon beneath where the rubber is fixed. Very difficult to read but I’ll have a go during a gentle clean of the area. I will see if I can get a decent photograph of this.
Anyone else seen this, I’ve not heard it mentioned before.
Tim

The number you have found should be your car's body number, I have seen this many times
61 RHD OBL DHC
61 flat floor DHC
61 FHC
63 FHC
66 FHC (QUAD LIGHTS)

Yes, it’s the body number. I’ve found this marked elsewhere but first time I’ve heard of it marked in this position.

I found my March 65 cars body number there as well. I asked on the forum at the time as I had not heard about that location before, no replies at that time.
