Hi all,
Could somebody confirm me the value ?
I found 56lb/ft into a previous message but the forumer wasn't sure.
I don't find in the service manual.

Hi Mich...service manual page B8 shows 54ftlb this was revised in a service bulletin...note engine numbers

Hi Mich.....as far as im aware the studs are not torqued ....they should be screwed in fully and tight to the bottom of the cleaned out threaded hole.....if there are torque figures im sure someone will let us know....Steve

I was told (by someone who knows far better than I)(although that's not hard

) that you just tighten them by hand then pinch them up. No torque setting, don't overtighten.

This is correct. We put a generous amount of stud sealant on the bottom thread and then just screw them in finger tight. Obviously they need to be fully inserted down to the block face.

If you consider that the stud pulls against the block threads and stretches as you torque the nuts up, so acting like a spring, it makes it easier to understand.
