Series 3 power steering noise (video inside)

Hello.
I hope everyone is keeping safe.

We have a customer’s Series 3 with a noisy power steering (very noticeable between 0:11-0:14 in this video):

It’s this oil whizzing/gurgling noise when the steering is under load (even at idle speed) which I believe could be the steering rack and I thought I'd ask the forum on the chance that one of you has come across this symptom.

It’s only audible from inside the car. When outside, the engine noise drowns it, which makes it difficult to tell if it's the steering assembly or the pump.

Hello ljbp, I have a S3 and the same sound. I think that it is completely normal.

To be honest I couldn't pickup the noise from the video so not sure what it is. I used to get the squealing noise from the power steering when on full lock standing still. Eventually found out it was the belt slipping. You can easily eliminate this by wetting the belt and trying it again, at least that would tell you if its a belt problem.

If you turn the volume to max on your computer, it's becomes audible when i start turning the wheel at 0:11. It then stops at 0:15.
It's a oil flowing whizzing/wooshing noise, definitely not belt related.
Likely "you can't hear it" because it's normal as Alejandro wrote above.
