So I am completely rebuilding the brakes and clutch. While dismantling i ran into two issues.
1.the vacuum canister was filled with 1L brake fluid !!! That is not good. Luckily I have a new master and servo. Anybody else ever experienced that?
2.My clutch slave cilinder is about 1 inch shorter then the new one I bought and I do not see how this will fit. Any help appreciated.

1/ This is where your brake fluid has been disappearing to and this is why people renew the seals on their brake masters and servos....

2/ The difference in length is to do with having either a hydrostatic clutch slave or conventional slave. This is all in the archives.

kind regards
Marek

I had the same problem with brake fluid in the vacuum canister, found that the oil seal in the (upper) brake cylinder was mounted the wrong way so it didn't seal correctly. And it should have been professional rebuild?
Bought a new kit and rebuild it but haven't tested it yet, hopefully is my renovation better then the last one.
