#1 Views on which rear shocks on series 1

Post by Pethers » Thu May 28, 2020 11:05 am

Hi all

I’m doing a the irs (well the garage are) and we’re down to which Rear shocks and springs.

I’m not going to be tearing trees up and was going to go boge but they seem to have stopped supply.

Any views on what to use instead?

Many thanks

Mark

I just did my IRS and I fitted CMC springs and gaz adjustable platform shocks
The CMC springs according to them have been especially made to their own specifications to give the best ride
Yet to try them however

The Boges were good and cheap but as you have said are NLA.

Reuse your original springs and buy whatever the usuals have at the lowest price.

I have used the Konis in the past; no perceptible benefit. I see that the GAZ adjustables are about half the price of the Konis but still 3 times the price of the Boges.

You could try searching for C25951 on EBay to see what's available.

The usuals are now stocking Monroe - which was a budget brand years ago - probably ok though. Anyone know why Boge quit?
