Series 1 2+2 outer window scraper seal

Hi
How is the rubber seal held in place on the outer window rubber scraper seal

Is it glued into the chrome strip and do I have it in the correct way as shown

The chrome trim screws to the door

Any help please

Searching the forums do I use loctite black sealant or the clear type
