Hello all experts, I wonder if someone has a guess and could point me in the right direction.
I’m helping a friend with his completely restored s1 1967 car.
When you brake it stops perfectly but with a delay when the system return the fluid and completely release the brakes. My main question is if I should aim for the master cylinder or the servo cylinder?
Greatful for any help on the topic
Regards Johan

This is usually a servo fault, in which the servo hydraulic shuttle is sticking, but the first thing I would check is that the air valve at the front of the servo control unit ( on the front of the master cylinder ) has a. a clean filter and b. is not itself sticking . If you do the advanced search "+air +reaction +valve" on this board you should find plenty of discussion about this
