Well done Phil. I see you are still searching for the missing bulletins. I would most like to see the ones detailing the steering column changes from Oct '67 up to March '68 . Lets hope they can all be found someday.

Hi Barrie

Fortunately, there were not many bulletins issued around that time for Steering:

For the Spares Bulletins, L62 (March 67) and L63 (July 67) did not relate to the E-Type. I am missing L64 and L65, both of which were published in July 1968 and might, therefore relate back to changes a few months earlier (the bulletins were, for the most part, published after the event).

For the Service Bulletins, I am not missing any from that period related to Steering, so they would be in the database.

Regards

Phil

Just to announce that V4 of the Bulletin Database has now been added to the knowledgebase and can also be accessed via the link below:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/buqiojb62zmsa ... .xlsx?dl=1

This release incorporates the 1946 to 1959 Jaguar Service Bulletin Series which, at this point, has an 88% coverage (limited to the bulletins I currently have in my possession). As well as covering some of the earlier saloons, this series covers the XK120, 140 and 150 models. The summary sheet incorporates this latest data and a Model Chart has been introduced for reference too.

Should anyone have surplus bulletins they no longer require, I am keen to continue to fill the missing gaps in the database coverage.

Very pleased to be collaborating with the Coventry Foundation (https://coventryfoundation.org/) to further develop the Bulletin Database. With many gaps still present and little information over here in the U.K. regarding the U.S. Bulletins issued, their assistance is already proving extremely helpful.

Earlier this week, I received (courtesy of their President - George Camp) a package containing a set of USA Technical Service Bulletins spanning the period 1969 to 1975. This is a contribution that I am extremely grateful for and will go a long way to filling in some much needed information. Thank you!!

I have now commenced the process of scanning them and uploading their content into the database. Many of these correlate to the parallel U.K. series of Service Bulletins and Service Information sheets published in the same period and, as per the screenshot below, will be cross-referenced accordingly in the database.

More updates in due course.

A link to a new version (V5) of the Service and Spares Bulletin Database has been loaded into the knowledgebase. It can also be accessed here:

This is a major upgrade to the previous version and contains the following changes:

- New series of Bulletins added to Database: USA Jaguar Technical Service Bulletins 1969-1975 (385 entries). Cross-Referenced to UK Bulletins
- Summary Sheet enhanced to incorporate above new series
- 1960-1972 Service Bulletins: Bulletins covering multiple items split out to provide better granularity by model - 107 additional entries added (936 entries in total).
- 1960-1972 Service Bulletins: Additional links provided to related Service Bulletins and superseded issues. Cross-Referenced to USA Bulletins
- 18 updates applied to 1946-1959 range (186 Originals and 77 copies now present)

Phil, you are a star :salute:
I may make little use of this but thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put into it.

First off, thank you for doing this.

Where does one get the .PDFs that are named according to the links in the Excel spreadsheet? I didn't see anything that would match in the Knowledgebase forum. Am I missing something? Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place?

Thanks again

Thanks, I did and this is what he told me.

"If it was just one or two bulletins that you were seeking and that I owned myself then I would have no issue forwarding these across. However, a lot of the collection has been sourced from others and it would not be appropriate for me to share these."

So, although the spreadsheet is a great work, it's totally useless without it's content. I just don't see the point in offering it up to us forum members if the appropriate content is inaccessible. Oh well, we still have the already posted PDFs in the Technical Information & Documentation section, just that they're not broken out and named to match Phil's excellent spreadsheet.

If you head to the Forum Knowledge Base>Technical Information you will find most of the Service and Parts Bulletins for each Series that were issued, available for download. Not as comprehensive as Phil's work but still very useful
