Hi all,
I’m considering fitting an adjustable reaction plate after a refurb of my front suspension. I’m interested in the Rob Beere one. Is the cam adjuster type the best proposition? I don’t fancy faffing around resetting my front suspension once it’s all re-installed. When I bought the car it was nose high. I set it up carefully using the factory spec gauge and it sat at the same height. Two goes later (three times on left side) I got it level and at the correct height.

Hi,
Tired of doing and redoing this job when I rebuilt my front drive train, I bought the one from Rob Beere.
1 hour of work in total with several test drive to stabilize the front drive train and I had a perfect height on the left and on the right.
The only thing to look at at the beginning is that the Type E having been built by hand there may be some corrections to make on the reaction plate regarding the bolts alignment.
On my car, using the gauge positioned it too low.
With the gauge in place, I put the Rob Beere bar cam adjuster on the mini to be able to go up.
In your case it will be the opposite or change the gauge hole spacing.
Détail: The instruction for use is a small piece of paper with not a lot of description...Fortunately they answer questions quickly

Thanks Mich, I have ordered an adjustable from Rob Beere. I think it makes good sense. It’s interesting how many owners get different height results using the same setting tool. I guess it all depends on what condition the torsion bars are in or if they’re up-rated . As I mentioned when I re-set mine some years ago it finished up uneven so it will be advantageous to be able to easily adjust to get it spot on without splitting ball joints and removing the torsion bars again.
Cheers
