I am planning on replacing my chrome rims with S/S this year and have budgeted for the new rims.
The existing tyres are in good condition so i see no need to go to the expense of 4 new tyres as well.
Is it ok to swap the tyres from the old rims to the new?
Is there a safety reason not to do this?
If it's OK, then is it easy to swap the tyres over, or is there a risk of damaging the older rims getting the tyres off?
Thanks in advance

Simple job for any tyre fitters to swap them over.....there should be no damage.....however the issue is getting them balanced.....the usual tyre fitters dont have the proper cones to balance wire wheels although they will probably say that their standard equipment is satisfactory......you need to find fitters that understand how to balance wires....Steve

If this was my car........
I’d buy new tyres for the new rims. I’d sell the old tyres to someone else. There will always be a buyer.
