My painter wants me to take of the vinyl sliding part. I remember the whole roof is bolted into the roof with small nuts hidden under the roof foam.
Can the sliding vinyl part be take off solely, if so, how ?
My car is to be sent to him after our holiday in iceland, in mid - august, when he‘s back as well as me.

Can you post a couple of photos of it Carsten? I have some experience of sunroofs but no promises!

Not sure if your sliding roof is constructed like mine; my one has slats that fit into the side runners. My roof came off almost entirely by accident when I tried to close it while driving at about 40mph. I pulled it slightly on one side so it was skewed, then the wind caught it and lifted it out of the runners. To put it back, I took each slat in turn and placed it at an angle into the runners then pulled them in straight. Have since taken them out in a similar fashion for cleaning. Works fine still, and never leaks. Not sure how the last (rear) slat would come out, but haven't tried.
