Hi All, can anyone confirm the operation of the heater fan switch, i am getting a circuit to both top terminals when switch to fast speed, meaning i have power direct to green/blue and green/yellow at the same time. I have dismantled my heater fan switch, everything looks ok in there, and the black actuator looks like it should switch one side on slow, then disengage slow and engage fast on the other side possibly but this is not happening. To me power should be supplied via resistor only on slow position or direct to motor on fast position but not both at the same time ? Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Paul

Both at the same time is normal as far as I know on fast speed
My series 2 switch feeds both on fast
But one goes through a resistor so it just goes fast
Its seems strange but thats how mine is

The current will take the easiest route, inversely proportional to resistance where there is a choice, so connecting both is not a problem. Virtually no current flows through the resistor as the short circuit connection
across the resistor is so much easier.
kind regards
