#1 How to check Stromberg needle adjustment
I hear that some Strombergs on the 68 e-type have an unadjustable needle and some need the tool from the top. Is that true and How can one check which version you have?

#2 Re: How to check Stromberg needle adjustment
Hi Job
Look at the bottom of the carb.
A fixed jet/adjustable needle Stromberg type will have a blanking plug (plastic or brass) in the middle.

Whereas an adjustable jet/fixed needle type will look like this.

Some people modify fixed jet carbs to take the adjustable jet to increase the range of mixture adjustment available, so you could possibly find both methods of adjustment present.
