I have the suspension setting tools fixing the front suspension in the mid laden position.

1. Camber comes up as +1/2 degree both sides. Worth removing one more shim?
2. Should I tighten the rubber bushes in the mid laden position as they are now or just on normal ride height?
3. Can you buy a rear suspension setting tool? Ideally would like to borrow one as its just a one off job.

That camber should be fine.
Either should be fine; personally I'd do it on the ground.
I don't think that the rear suspension is adjustable, apart from camber which is set with shims, so no tool is required.

I may drop out another shim. Only an hours works and last chance before the mud shields go back on.
castor is about 2 degrees so happy with that.
Rear tool was to set the rear of the car at mid level to match the front and set the castor but I found a thread that says the sills should be level so I put boards under the rear wheels to level it (have turning plates on the front)

I'll mess around this week and get the tracking closer as well. My little Gunson track right gets me in the right ball park and will shoot for total 1/4 degree (1/8" each side).

Depending on your tyres you may find that +2 degrees of castor makes your steering unacceptably heavy.

I tend to aim for just enough castor to still have the wheel self centre while driving.

I think that 5 turns of the fulcrum shaft equals one degree of castor... but my memory is failing...

Yes now you remind me I recall it. The service book has instructions on how to bend it up out of a piece of round rod, but it looked too complicated to get right and I never bothered.

Hi Eddie....its almost impossible to actually use the rear tool as per the service manual...you will need far to much weight in tbe boot to compress the suspension to fit it......instead just mearure your rear camber then add/remove shims to suite......Steve

Yes Steve. I saw a few other posts and will settle (?) on getting the floor and sills level with the garage floor and then making front castor changes.
I have the car sitting about right and on turntables at the front.
Rear Camber? Spent so much time on the front suspension I forgot about it! Yes. Good idea to check that too.
