Door glass rubber seal

S1 4.2 . Hi today we tried to fit the horse shoe spring clips on the outside rubber seal but they were not really long enough and would not hold securely .Also the lip on the door where they fasten is deeper on one side making it even worse. Are there any longer clips ,we may resort to using small stainless self tappers if they do not catch the glass. Gluing them on dose not seem a viable solution .The clips were from on of the main Jaguar suppliers .Any thoughts .

Yes, I had this problem a couple of years ago.
After a lot of googling around the internet I did find one source of those types of clips:

Looking back at my emails I bought EPF200-PPBLK and EPF205-PPBLK. From what I can remember both sizes are usable, but the lager ones (205) are a lot easier to get to fit.
The downside is that you have to buy them in packs of 100, but the cost isn't too bad.

Just to make sure I haven't made my usual mis-understanding. Are you talking about BD10413, item 24 on Plate 50? "Clip, securing outer seals" Those are the clips I'm referring to (I think).

Yes those are the little s?ds . They just don't seem long enough especially on one of the doors which has a longer lip to fasten to .
