#1 Help to identify this toolkit - ? I believe from XK / XKE era

Post by 1964E » Sat Dec 18, 2021 7:07 am

Hello
Is anyone able to help me identify which model the tools and case in the attached photos are from please ?
I know the kit is incomplete and I'm not sure exactly what's missing.
Thanks in advance.

The tool roll itself is likely for a Series 2 (the Series 3 and the identical XJ6/XJS rolls were made of a thin unlined gloss black vinyl).
- The 14" x 11" Series 2 roll featured nine main and two small pockets.
Check the length and end markings on your box spanner --
- For most Series 2 E-types, the 7" box spanner for Cylinder Head and Spark Plugs was end-stamped 1/2" B.S.F. and 3/4" AF.

For THE expert answer, contact Roger Payne, who has published many articles on Jag tools kits in the E-Type magazine. He has been tremendously helpful to me in my effort to assemble an authentic E S2 tool kit.
