#1 67 basket case another stupid question

folks, I have started to dismantle the front frame and wire harness, found this aluminum connector in the front,
that is about 1 in round and about 2 in long, with prongs(connectors about 7 I think and is a 'male' so
what does it plug into?? I do not have the female part, I did not take the nose off, and none of
the harness in front was plugged into anything, was dismantled 14 years ago. This is my 1st jag,
I have done a few lotus and tigers. this one may be a bit tougher. added another pic for you guys to see what I got. thanks..Mike in montreal.
