The sill seal body rubber on my car is hanging loose can anyone suggest how to fix this

Not an expert on this as I have only done it once on one side of the car:

1. Remove all old adhesive with white spirit - you may need a lot of it and leave soaked rags on the glue to soften it.

2. Make sure there is no sill vinyl or padding in the seal groove channel; if so cut it away.

3. Fit seal dry to test; oddly the lip of the seal points downwards on the S1 but upwards on the S2 (or so I was told). Check door closes and does not foul the chrome finisher. Trim seal to length if necessary.

4. Apply thin layer of glue to seal and leave to dryo
5. Apply thin layer of glue tp seal channel and leave until tacky

6. Apply another layer of glue to the seal rubber and leave until tacky

7. Attach seal and use a plastic wedge or similar to push seal into groove. Do not use a screwdriver!

Glue I used was a contact adhesive designed for rubber trim but almost any contact adhesive will work. Biggest job is removing the old glue but do not short cut that stage.

A general purpose contact adhesive is all that is required. As long as it includes 'rubber' in the guidance notes it will work. You need to avoid the contact adhesive designed for absorbent material such as these types: http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/pc-1653-304-adhesive.aspx

Thanks again David. :D Sourced the glue from Woolies and cleaned off old glue as suggested, before applying the adhesive I tried the rubber in pointing up and it certainly seemed to fit better. All fitted now, let's see what happens.
