#1 S1 OTS Windscreen

Post by gmunro » Mon Aug 09, 2021 10:04 am

Hi Gents,

I have a 1967, S1 OTS and following a total body restoration I now need to source a new windscreen. I would be really grateful for any advice from forum members where I should consider sourcing a new windscreen. I have checked SNGB and Pilkingtons - the former have low stock and the latter need a long lead-time.

Any pros and cons or other recommendations?

Much appreciated. :helpsign:

Try Yorvik Windscreens in York.

I stumbled across them simply because I had a mate going south in a van from York, and have now bought two.

The last one was a genuine Pilkingtons one with all the stickers, June 2020, cost was £354.

From memory that was £150 cheaper than quoted by Pilkingtons own Classic service, for the same thing, and the latter were all into long delays and unobtanium.

The ref - that everyone uses - is 4310 ACL

Hi George,
Yes, in the end bought a new one.

Fitted OK after a bit of shoving and pushing with help from the wife !

Thanks
Tim
