#1 Steering Rack initial setting

Hi Gents,
I have a 1967, S1, 4.2 OTS and my question is, does anybody have an approximate measurement of the distance between the track rod end centres to allow me to roughly set up the steering rack before attaching the track rod ends into their tapered fittings? I have wound on the track rod ends 12 rotations at each end but before I fit them properly, I would be very grateful for any comments before I commit myself.
