#1 Lift the dot studs

Post by Heronscourt » Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:38 pm

Does anyone have a photo of the position of the lift the dot studs around the rear of the cockpit? I believe there are some on the metal trim pieces running from the interior light around to the B post. The trims were either missing or completely rotten when I got the car. There is one each side in the chrome hood stay bracket but there must be more in the trims for the hood or hood cover.

There are at least four, one each side on the chrome hood stay brackets and one in the centre of each of the trim panels behind the hood support bracket. There are similar holes in the rear end of those panels and in the long trims either side of the interior light on the back bulkhead but in not sure if they are for studs or trim clips as there are no corresponding holes in the bodywork. It may be that they were filled during body prep for painting,

Yes. After I posted that I realised that there are two on the back panel that attach to the hood cover straps.
