As we return……..
The exhaust
The Suspension and
Torsion reaction plate are all in!
Tonite hopefully Steve will do the following to complete the job.
Spoke to Guy Broad,
1. Either a side tunnel access hole with a rubber plug
Or
2. Access panel on top of tunnel for full access.
Pics to follow.
Second
The transmission cover should be cut to relieve shift arm clearance and reverse switch.
Pics will follow.
It must be done to fit the cover!
More to come, by the weekend the car should be running if Steve comes by for the Peop shaft.
Getting close

SNG manifolds
They are cracking BUT….
That’s 9,000 miles in 11 months!
Extreme heat and cold
I’m happy and the fit and finish were great

Joey

I think you have the distance piece C11583, fitted to the long stud between the dip stick holder and the manifold, the wrong way around:

The way you have it pulls the dip stick too close to the manifold.

Spacer goes on stud first, then bracket, then nut. Yours appear to be: bracket, spacer, nut.

The long stud is C7624 and there should be one for the dip stick bracket and also retaining the alternator shield. https://www.sngbarratt.com/English/#/US ... eBranch=US

Not essential I suppose but Jaguar thought so

The distance piece is no longer available but a few washers would do the job.

Cute! That bottom bleed screw has always been a trial. When reinstalling the slave I use an Allen bolt on the top as it easy to get a Allen key in to tighten, not so with trying to get a wrench on the nut.

Gooooood Morning everyone.
Or early afternoon on the other side of the pond!
Well, WE are going to finish the project by next week the latest BUT ......
Modifications have to be made.
When its all said and done, it should be great, but if all goes to plan, SOMEONE will have a HEADS UP on what to do ahead of time no matter when your car was built or by who.
Some spots are just too close for my to leave.
If you want this done right, theres just a couple of steps left.
The blow torch, cutting wheel and welder is warming up as we speak along with a massage therapist for the lid.
I have 2 options
Cut, mold and caress until the factory shift cover and center console fit.
OR
Go Ferrari ish and lose the console and go custom.
Surprises to come.
I will post the carbs , and bleed the clutch then wrap up with the final massage .
There is NO WAY YOU CAN FINISH THIS JOB WITHOUT MASSAGING THE WHOLE AREA.
Stay tuned!
