Hi Paul....great that you got it sorted....and the servo is being returned to SNGB for them to investigate the problem....Dont Give Joey too much credit  he would have had you source an old stock "master cylinder" and have it re sleaved.....and you would have still had the problem......your diagnosis narrowed it to the slave/servo.....Steve

Hi Christopher..........hope iv got this correct, as i has trying to help Paul with moral support over the phone.....all 4 calipers could be bled ok......when you next pressed the pedal the brakes would lock and not release.......Paul disconnected the feed from master to slave/servo.....but brakes still locked........so we knew it was a slave/servo problem...... ......fitted replacement servo all worked ok......so servo returned......im hopeing we get an answer on what was wrong with the internals.....were thinking its the shuttle/piston sticking in the bore as Andrew mentioned in a post above.......Steve

Hi Darren...as i mentioned above.........it was a faulty servo....The problem with new items like a servo,s etc is that if you start dismantling it you break the warranty/return conditions........ replacement worked straight away.......its gone back to the manufacturer....would be good if they send back a report...but i doubt it.....Steve

You really cant blame the slave labor . Working 16 hours as 9 year old children, theres really no incentive .
I dont think they even know what the parts is!
Sadly....Im not joking.

I know what the box says but...........and MAYBE SNG is making them now in England .
But99.9 percent up to this week were not.
There's a million on the shelf like that.
As two pebble beach restorers have told me...
Joey buy 10 and hopefully 2 will work.
I got lucky on the primerose car it took me 3.....

No, Joey. Definitely not.

We are equally capable of making crap here in the UK.

Why would anybody order millions of master cylinders to supply a maximum of 60000 cars? Where do you get all this information from?

I can’t understand why Joey doesn’t set up his own manufacturing facility for E Type parts to ensure we all get perfect bits every time

After all if we know they will fit first time and work perfectly even at twice the price of the other suppliers we would beat a path to his door

You do that Joey, but please don't pass off hearsay as fact.

There are few people more critical of aftermarket parts than me but I would never suggest that any of our suppliers use slave child labour.

Have your ever been involved with manufacturing in China? I have and have never seen anything approaching slave labour, just low cost labour.

It is possible to get excellent quality, low cost parts out of China and I have done so for around 30 years.

Regards

BTW it is illegal to pass off goods as being from a different country of origin.

These random and sometimes ludicrous comments by Joey are I’m sure just to get a reaction from members. I’ve read his similar comments on the JL forum in the past, and I’ll say no more on that.
Just don’t take the bait.

The trouble is, some people believe everything he says. Even though he can't substantiate his assertions.

I stand by what I said as most ON THESE THREADS have never started their car in 30 years......
Those brake components over the last 25 years or so have been from 2 suppliers.
One in china and another in India. They are terrible quality and are still on many stock shelves.
Recently as of months ago, SNG has a new supplier, call Julian ask around,
How come week after week the same THREAD pops up with the SAME problem.
I have NO stake in the game, No money gains.
THE STICKING , DRAGGING, NO BRAKE PEDAL ISSUE has been around a long time since the India batches.
The problem is they are still out there...
The units that have been supplied are JUNK.
If any old timers on here would spend a shilling or two and call the major restoration shops they will tell you
BUY 10 AND MAYBE 2 WILL WORK, MAYBE.
Well Ill drive my 10, 000 miles a year.........see you guys on the road....

Hi Joey....your search is meaningless.....you just get results for the word brake and issues where they appear in the same post. ......as a moderator i speed read every post.....and have done for many years now......we dont see brake issues here on the forum every week that are caused by faulty new brake parts......Steve

Over the years I've been on this forum it has been one of overwhelming help, advice and useful information for the benefit of all of us. It is a poor reflection on the otherwise friendly aspect of this forum to find someone who is not willing to accept reasoned argument and fact but insists on shouting out his opinion trying his best to drown out what the decent people are presenting. There are, sadly, certain politicians who won't accept democracy either but feel if they shout the loudest others will give in and let them take over.
