#1 Piston damage

Post by kwylde » Mon Dec 05, 2022 9:38 pm

I had a valve guide break and put a small dent in the piston. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of problem? Should I just leave it alone or replace the piston?

I would leave it alone. Perhaps ensure it's not scraping the cylinder wall, but other than that it shouldn't have any practice input on running or performance.

I've asked around with a number of Jag people and the consensus is that it will be OK.

Thanks
