Replacing the Clutch master cylinder seals on my 1968 S1.5 E type.
I have a question regarding the two piston seals.
The cup seal fits without problem.
The sealing ring at the pushrod end of the piston will not fit into the cylinder without jamming the piston (have tried rubber grease without success )
Anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it.
Thanks

S1.5 Clutch Seals
#2 Re: S1.5 Clutch Seals
There are different iterations of these seals and it may be that is your problem.
The easiest solution might be to take your old seals and cylinder to a brake shop and ask them for the seals. Most of this stuff is generic and they may well have something that will fit.
Best of luck.
