Hi, I seem to a bit missing from my dashboard strip that tells you what the switches do.
I have the switch indicator strip, C15609, the light filter ( green strip of thin plastic), C15289, and the chrome finisher, C15916.
However the parts list goes on to list BD24393, 'light shield ( rubber) below the indicator strip' and a retainer BD24394. These part is not shown in the parts list.
What do these items look like and how do they fit ?
Thanks
Steve

Not found on my car. And for the last 20 years and almost 80,000 miles, I haven't ever noticed it might be required. As for the claim that it stops light spilling out, wahahahaha! The instrument lights are not that bright, barely illuminating the dash panel even in pitch darkness.

Thanks all for the replies.
I can see where it fits now and I can see why it would make lowering the dash difficult.
All of the Jaguars ( S type, 420, etc) that I have owned over the years had this rubber strip missing.
I will leave it off my E type.
Thanks
Steve
