Can anyone provide a photo of the bulkhead/throttle linkage on a 69 RHD S2 2+2.
I have searched the forum and XKE data but have only found photos of the FHC and roadster which have a different bulkhead to the 2+2 and I assume a different linkage as the wiper motor mounting is different and there is no provision for mounting the horizontal bracket across the outside of the wiper motor as shown in the photos I have seen.
My car is currently LHD and I am looking at converting to RHD and I think I can use most of the existing linkage but need to see how it was originally done. Parts lists and catalogues don't help either.

Thanks
Tony

As per Steves suggestion, I have Googled and looked at Car and Classic cars for sale and other places but still cannot find anything that shows the linkage.

Yes, plenty of cars but the only one that shows a linkage is the one you linked, C1556455 and that appears to be converted from LHD, it also has the wrong carbs. I have been through dozens of ads and besides not many 2+2's (4or5) they don't show the bulkhead in the photos. Seems genuine original 69 RHD S2 2+2's are a rare object.
Thanks

S2 FHC

S22+2

At a cursory glance they look pretty similar.
As you have said the LHD bits are different, although it is possible to modify some bits so you can reuse them if you're not concerned about absolute originality.

I have a '69 series 2 2+2, and would be happy to take a pic, but unfortunately it's away for it's winter service, m.o.t and a few jobs. If you're stuck when it's back early next week let me know and I'll take a pic

Thanks Steve, I had spent hours looking in every place I could think of and was losing the will to live hence asking here on the forum. Although there are bulkhead shots, it is difficult to see any detail of the linkage.
Thanks also to Andrew, though the parts diagrams in my mind do not show a 2+2 linkage as it would not be possible to fit item 13 across the wiper motor, they are most likely generic diagrams and the only difference I can see between the FHC and 2+2 diagrams are the addition of the kickdown cable and bits on the 2+2 diagram.
Thanks Malcom for the offer of a photo, it would be very useful especially the area around the outer fulcrum as its really the only part that needs looking at, I think. Also the general bulkhead layout would be helpful as some parts have to move when converting from LH to RHD. Before anybody jumps in and directs me to the conversion articles in the knowledgebase, they do not really cover Series 2 for anything I need.
Thanks
Tony

The outer most pivot bracket as shown in the photos above fits where you currently have your washer bottle then links straight down to the pedal houseing......Jag parts list will tell you whats required....Steve

Tony, I've only just got the PM - I've sent you a PM with a series of photos tracking the linkages.
Let me know if you get them, and if they help
