Hi all
Could someone give me some details about this passage ( Jaguar seat belts / Fitting instructions )
My problem is the rear anchorage of course.
I don't want the retractable seat belts.
Thanks and happy new year
Mich

Hi Mich,
It seems that once you have located the rear panel bolt holes, you need the relevant bolt, washer and spacers:

Once fitted, they should look similar to this (on FHC but may be similar). Note the chrome bracket on this coupe is fitted wrong way around (most point out).
Have a look here:

And an excellent Jaguar 4.2 seatbelt documentation guide here:

Ah yes, the detachable seatbelt anchors. Just remember to under no circumstances use the anticlockwise spiral bolt on the opposite side, unless the keyhole spring is inverted. Otherwise you may as well just disregard completely.

Hi all,
Update.
I've found the third point for my seat belts.
I was looking for it at the top as indicated on the jaguar documents, but in fact it was lower and much more logically below the soft top when folded.
I just needed to remove the plastic screw and make the holes in the lining.
Happy

Michel, just for your safety. The threaded holes you show in your pic are in a very low position for the rear anchorage of the belt. And they are also positioned much to the centre of the car. In an accident the belt will press you downwards and inwards over your throut.
The position that the jaguar document Fig 1 shows are a little bit better, and I guess the best doable in an OTS.
Compare the belt anchorage positions with your modern car(s).

Hi Mats
Beautiful car

I had already thought about this problem of course.
As for the height, I agree with you, it's too low without question.
As for the central position, they are at the same level as those in the Jaguar document.
Only those who make a hatch to put the retractor in the boot can shift the belt exit a few cm towards the outside.
I remind you that these installation points (even questionable) are the original Jaguar ones on my chassis. The plastic screws were still there. Coming from the USA, the car only had a 2-point seatbelt.
I haven't tried it, as I don't have the installation points there, but I still think it's a shame for the soft top with the belt positioned as high as possible. You lower the soft top further than the belt.
Nevertheless thanks for the warning.
