Folks, in canada I am unable to find Rim tape for my wire wheels, I did find PVC tape 2in wide, one tape is with cloth, and another with just pvc, I do see bike tape but too narrow, Do you think this option would
work (2in stuff) any suggestions for my 67 xke would be appreciated, Thanks Mike.

Postage might be a bit much, but if you're stuck you could order some from someone over here, like Longstone tyres, and have them post it to you?

Hi Mike..I ways use tubeless wheels...however the tape is just to prevent sharp edges of the spokes from damaging the tube....so I don't see why it has to be a rim band specifically...if you dont gave access to them then anything to provide a smooth surface should work....make sure the tubes have some French chalk on them to provide a more slippery surface..also think on tyres...some I think are not suitable to use with tubes becaus of their rough internal surface...Steve

I recently bought some rim bands from Blockley Tyres. Postage from UK will probably be a little expensive but worth asking them. Mike.

SNG BARRATT have a place in USA and there is also Moss in California. I am sure you could find somewhere closer than UK.
