Greetings - I have been building a Low Drag Couple for a couple of years now and am getting to the point of choosing rubber. It's a full alloy car with a hot alloy engine but NOT a race car - designed for fast road/rally use.

My question is - what tires to put on my Dunlop mag wheels??

Thoughts and recommendations please??

Do you have a name? Please add it to your signature (click on your user name top right) you can also add details of your car. It so much nicer to reply to a person not a user name.

As for tyres, what size wheels do you have? If you’ve got wider than the standard 5 inch (185x15) rims then you might wish to look at the 205/70 VR 15 tyres from Pirelli. If you search you’ll find reports of tyre tests where Pirelli consistently comes out top. You can always speak to Dougal at Longstone Tyres for his opinions. If you’ve even wider wheels, say 6 or 6.5 then he should be able to advise. Be aware that you may not get the same rolling radius of the original tyres so your speedometer might need recalibrating.

Given the spelling in the title line I'm guessing this OP is in the USA.
