Hi this is for an S1 FHC. What do the door switches control . Light under dash or light at tailgate.
Also can you switch dash lights on without ant exterior lights on. I.E. is the supply for the dash lights from a sidelight feed.
Do the instrument lights come on with the illumination lights for the switch panel.
interior lights configuration

Look at the circuit diagram.
For example, the door switches will control whether the dash lights can find a path to ground and thus complete the circuit and make them light. You can connect up an alternate path to ground and also control them that way if you wish.
kind regards
Marek

Hi Bryan,
Door switches bring on centre dash panel lamp only. The rear roof lamp is controlled by separate switch on centre dash. Both are available without ignition.
Yes, dash illumination is only available once sidelights/main are on. Dash illumination is a two position switch. Dim & dimmer
I have leds now which make a big improvement.
