#1 S1 4.2 rear bumper spacers

Post by gmunro » Sat Jan 18, 2025 12:28 pm

Hi Gents,

Can anyone please advise me where the round mounting spacers are fitted on the rear bumpers? As you know, there are three mounting points but only two of the spacers per side. I'm guessing that one is fitted to the mounting beside the overrider and the second one on the middle mounting bolt. Also, is there anything fitted to the third mounting or does it bolt straight to the body?

Any assistance is very much appreciated.

Yours aye,

You are correct, the 2 round spacers fit to the middle and the rear mounting points, the front mounting does not have a spacer, although you could fit washers to give you a better fit to the body if necessary.

Hi Ian,

Many thanks for your very speedy reply. I'm glad for the confirmation. I thought the fuel tank was supposed to be difficult but the bumpers .........

I'll crack on and once again, many thanks.
