#1 Choke cable adjustment

Hi all,
I’m refitting my choke cable and a. Having a few issues.
It seems to me that to avoid the nipple interfering with the brass choke arm that the fixing screw to secure the cable has to go in from the rear. This makes it difficult to access.
Am I correct in this ?
Once fitted what sort of drop o the jets should I expect? Maybe 200 thou?
Advice appreciated
Tim

Hi Tim,
This may help. I also use the AUC5062 mentioned in the following link, far more robust than the original. Final photo should help either way.

Thanks Steve,
This looks like the solution.
I thought that I had searched the archives well but didn’t come across this.
Regards
Tim

Glad it helped Tim.
For me it was a better solution and, ultimately, helped align the inner cable from where it exited its outer sheath mounting to its final attachment point, on the choke link rod. The tightening nuts are more robust than the original smaller piece, which I still have and tried to commit to using but it wasn’t a great fit in comparison. It’s also a rare upgrade that doesn’t cost the earth……very rare these days

Just to close this off.
I fitted the connector suggested - straightforward simple task which made connecting and adjusting the cable much easier.
Many thanks
Tim
