Series 3 automatic transmission slipping

Hi, my Series 3 BW 12 is slipping in reverse gear. It’s also slow to shift into third gear. Can this be adjusted ‘in situ’ with the oil pan removed? The oil doesn’t appear to be contaminated.

Jeremy, just to help others, have you read and carried out all checks and adjustments shown in the owner’s workshop manual? viewtopic.php?f=16&t=700
There seems to be a lot of information in the manual to sort out problems with all parts of an E Type, including auto boxes. If you can show what you’ve done then it will help the wise ones to guide you.
