Long story short... My water pump failed while on tour in Spain. What is the recommended gasket sealer these days? Is Hylomar Blue still the recommended solution or is there something better?

Dave, if Hylomar the aerograde PL32 is the better product, Wellseal also gets good reviews. The latter is what I used when changing the water pump, though have always used the PL32 before on the car. Hope that helps

Wellseal every time, far superior product. Clean metal surfaces with brake cleaner then apply a thin coat to all 4 surfaces and leave for 15-30 mins before assembly.
