#1 floor panel replacement experience

Post by astonman » Thu Aug 21, 2025 1:51 pm

Im after experience of people fitting the full floor panel half assembly from martin robey.
So floor panel, inner sill, radius arm cup all in 1 go. Anyone has any experience with the quality of these panels? How is the fit?

Yes, I have done it a few times using the full Robey panel, the fit is very good.
Use sheet-metal screws with a 1/4″ head.
The full panel is the best incorporating the inner sills and cups.
Finishing off an S1 roadster

Yh can vouch for this also, very nicely made from robey and makes a pukka job of it all..
Obviously make yourself a jig up to hold it together if a coupe, easier with an OTS, just put the two half’s (front bulkhead and rear) together on the floor get the door gaps n cross check, weld her in ! 🤣👍
Previously...S1 OTS E type (sold)
S1 2+2 manual. (Sold)
S2 rhd OTS full resto finished 8/23
S1 3.8 coupe (full restoration now sold)
