#1 In Praise Of Captive Nuts - Exhaust Silencer Mountings

One of the vilest jobs on my car was always re-hanging the exhaust silencers off those four rubber mountings.

Getting washers and nuts onto the silencer side supports, where there is little depth and the access is difficult, was a B-I-T-C-H.
Gentlemen, I give you the solution.

Don't ask Yvan-The-TIG to make any more of them, and don't ask me how much I paid him, because unpleasant sums fade quickly from my memory, but anyone with a bit of steel sheet, a vice, and a brazing torch, could make a reasonable fist of this.
However, NO, I'm afraid it doesn't change - much - the problem of the idiots supplying the Usuals making the rubber portion too close to the hole, such that you have to really FORCE the 1/2" socket onto the bolt head.
