My problem is on a 3.4 l engine ( for a 140 fhc ) : for the first start of engine after restoration by a mechanic, i have no oil in the oil filter ...! the pump is new, i tested it on the bench and i feel air succion and pressure at the exit . I didn't test it with oil... on the engine, the distributor turn as it should . I wonder if there is something broken or worn on the square junction between the distributor shaft and the square end of the pump ( A, B ) or if the square ends may be "rounded " or if the C part is also the culprit?
Any advice here ?

Hi Yves.....my first thought is the gasket between block and filter houseing....there are many different type... if you fit the wrong one it can block the flow......pull the houseing and gasket off.....turn over the engine without the spark plugs in and see if oil pumps out of the houseing.....it may be messy....but first check the gasket.....Steve ps this photo help ...what does your engine builder have to say?

Here is the engine bloc with its filter holes . It's a MK2 bloc which has been machined for the 3rd hole on the right below
