#1 Hub Carrier Seating Ring(s)

Evening ,
Question regarding the Seating Ring that sits below the bearing on the splined shaft.
I've pooped the the old bearing and the seating ring off the splined shat today, I'm replacing both splined shafts with new as both are showing a bit of wear and tear.
From what I've seen on YouTube the norm seems to be the reuse the seating rings but I wondered if there was a go/no-go in terms of the condition of the seating rings?
To the inexperienced eye...mine, there were a few scratches, and burrs on the surface of the ring, a light gentle file and rub with wet and dry addressed this, but are these components playing a critical role in the overall performance of the hub carrier and would they be something to replace anyway given all other bearings, seals, spacers etc arre being replaced?
Seen a rather long and scarry thread on here about floats and preloads...will be revisiting that lot when I get to assembling everything and no doubt more questions to come.
Cheers
Kev
