I have managed to fit two but whatever I do the other four will not go over oil rings. 4.2 by the way used plenty of pil tried three different clamps with no success . i have tried them in the bore and they have the correct gap, I just cant think of anything else.

You need a correct size clamp....is yours compressing the rings enough into the pistons....the pistons typically don't just slip in they can take some tapping to get them in......Steve

Clamp the rings ensure gaps on rings are staggered drop rod and piston in make SHURE U TAP DOWN CLAMP tight to block face ensure conrod is not hitting crankshaft then tap piston in with hammer shaft making shure ring clamp does not lift away from block or oil rings will pop out
