Another day in the shed...

I finished the engine stabiliser bracket tonight, and gave it a lick of touch up paint. When it's dry in the morning I'll bolt the top mount on, adjust the stabiliser link and fit the top cap.

I knew there was something wrong with the passenger door glass, it felt 'disconnected' from the linkage? When I removed the panel all was revealed.

The door glass has come out of the channel. The channel was lying in the bottom of the door, and needs to be re fitted.

Question is, how are they held on? Memory tells me they are glued in, am I right? The seal is still in the channel, and I suspect I will need to remove the frame to get the glass out so as I can re fit the channel.

Any tips/hints would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve.

Steve, I thought the glass was held in by friction grip of the seal in the bottom channel. Happy to be corrected. Go to COH Baines for new seals for the doors, etc.

Do an Advanced Search for OTS Door Glass, author rfs1957, and you should get Post 26 showing how to do it more or less as original.

Some kind soul with a bigger screen and keyboard will probably cut and paste the link.

If I were to do it again, this is still how I would do it, and there is surely no better judgement than that.
