#1 Bellows to Servo Upgrade

Post by PeterM » Thu Mar 10, 2011 10:33 pm

As part of my 63 RHD Roadster restoration, i am Looking to upgrade the braking system from Bellows to Servo as per Ser 2, the bodywork is complete, new servo mounting point is in place, the real question is the pedal box, is it possible to modify and use the exsisting pedal box? Thanks Peter

Yes it is. Run the pipework from your existing brake master cylinders but disconnect the vac pipe that goes to the bellows so the bellows are still there but does nothing.
This is how Rob Beere set my double acting piston servo up. You then of course need to run the vac pipe around the car to the new servo.
If I had the time I would post photos of my system but unlike most other forums this one doesn't have a tab which allows you to upload photos.

If you want to contact me for some detailed photos please PM me.

Dave
