#1 headlamp bowls

Can anyone tell me where to find correct headlamp bowls for my 1970 S2 OTS, or what's involved in making standard (for other makes and models) bowls fit?
I've spoken to several suppliers at Spares Days in Stoneleigh and also to Barratts, none of whom could sell me the correct bowls. It seems that the correct ones (domed, not with the flat back of the Series 1) are upside down when compared to standard bowls in terms of the siting of the adjuster screws in relation to the single clip. I've compared photo's of my original (rusty) bowls with a standard one and they are indeed different.
Is it difficult to make standard bowls fit?
Also, what are the pros and cons (apart from a lack of originality) of fitting plastic headlamp bowls?
Dave.

David, my plan (an optimistic title for this series of misadventures and underestimations) is to finish the restauration and get the thing on the road before I start thinking about upgrades. However, I have seen this one before and I agree it looks good.
Looking forward to meeting you at Goodwood. I'm originally from Nottinghamshire myself and I'm over there quite regularly on family visits too.
Dave.
