#1 securing the boot boards

Post by tim wood » Sat Aug 20, 2011 7:03 pm

Good Evening all,
having had my 2+2 for about 15 years I have just realised that the boot boards covering the fuel tank and spare wheel possibly should be secured in some way. Mine just slide into position and sometimes rattle!

Am I correct in thinking some form of clip is needed ? Can't see anything in my vast array of books and parts lists.

Can anyone offer advice?

many thanks
Tim

On my FHC, which i think is similar in relation to the rear boards, the fuel tanks board is secured by 2, or is it 3?, self-tap chrome screws and bezels which go into the metal surround , and the wheelwell board has a spring clip at the front which fits into a central hole in the metal strip which runs across the front of the wheel well aperture
