#1 Radio console removal

Post by ollieamb » Wed Nov 30, 2011 8:00 pm

It looks simple enough but after taking a few panels away I can't get the radio console away. Any others removed it successfully, I'm trying to check a speaker connection etc

I can't get it past the gear surround... Given up tonight

A couple of suggestions:

1) Lower the centre instrument panel, if you haven't already done so.

2) Move the shifter to reverse; this will provide extra room.

Cheers,

Bruce

You need to remove the top and bottom fastenings on each side, and then pull each of the side wings outwards by perhaps 15mm or 0.5 inches to clear the bottom studs. Then start to pull rearwards and at the same time angle the rear face slightly upwards. It is in any event difficult to remove it without some scuffing to the piping of the gear surround at its forward edge
