Mine is not working, I have looked inside, the bearings have
gone and any current results in smoke. I have been unable to
source an original OS replacement from SNG etc they just
supply a modern pump which looks nothing like the original.
Looked on ebay, couple of non-workers there. Does anyone
know someone who refurbishes the unit?
On another forum someone had put a modern one inside the original case, has anyone done this? if so I would appreciate the details.

You could try M&C Wilkinson or Richard Smith for a serviceable original.

Just noticed SNG sell a pump and bottle which purports to be an exact replica of the original:

Or you could do what I've done and hide a modern one inside the body of the old.johnben wrote:Mine is not working, I have looked inside, the bearings have

I have just seen that Norman Motors 0207 4310940 are advertising a "complete washer bottle assembly as original" for ?69 inc VAT in the Jaguar Enthusiast Magazine. May be worth looking into, seems a very good price.

John,
Even if you got the original working they are useless. I bought a generic pump for a tenner and left all the guts of the original inside the bottle and fitted the modern replacement inside the cap now it actually washes the windscreen like it's supposed to.
Tony Batten did a write up in the JEC mag last year.

Thanks for the advice folks, I actually got mine working again but as I said the bearings are shot and the windings are doubtful. On my search I never pulled up the replacements which are available like other forum members, So I have already gone down the route of buying an old unit off ebay off which I am going to insert a modern pump, my original unit will then go with all the other original stuff I have taken off and will pass on to the next owner, my Grandson I hope.
