Triple wipers correct for an S2?

My 69 roadster has triple wipers a couple of folk have now said it should be double, despite this I have seen plenty photos of other S2 roadsters with triples, what's the deal?

John your car should have triple wipers.
Ask your learned friends how many wipers their E Types have got.

Series 2 2+2s had 2.

If you see what I mean. The bottom of the windscreen was moved forward to make the car more asthetically pleasing. As a result there wasn't enough room for three wipers.
