#1 3.8 (late) tunnel carpet

Post by david muir » Sun Jun 03, 2012 8:11 am

Hi Folks,
Been greasing the front propshaft U/J-had to 'lift' the glued-down carpet on the tunnel to access the huge rubber grommet. Should my car -'64 FHC-have the popped down 'carpet flap' on the passenger side to allow access to the grommets?
Thanks,
David

My late 64 FHC did not have a flap with poppers but it did have glue at the top where it would fit under the centre console. I never re-glued it when it was periodically removed and it was fine.

Not sure if that answers your question but perhaps sharing how my car was enables you to make a decision
